Since the housing market crash of 2008 there have been many foreclosures and homeowners that have lost equity. Low interest rates and the number of foreclosed homes currently sitting in a slow moving market are creating some opportunities for those who are interested in real estate finance. A lease option is a type of real estate finance strategy that allows the buyer to lease a home with the option to purchase the home at a later date. Lease options require very little or no money down, which is a huge advantage with our current economic hardships being experienced.
Another possible option is the seller second. This is an alternative real estate finance option people can use when they are low on funds for a down payment. The seller second is when the seller agrees to the buyer getting a second mortgage from them when they don't have enough for a down payment. There are plenty of real estate finance strategies that are used to help people purchase homes and to earn equity as well. People who want to sell their home or purchase a home should consider all the finance options that are available.
